Here’s a great reason to travel to midtown.
Formerly the Four Seasons, the historic space inside the Seagram Building is now home to The Grill, an elegant hot spot that has everyone abuzz. This evening marks night one for the upscale American chophouse, which is the first of three restaurants to open its doors in the space (Lobster Bar and The Pool will follow suit later this year).
Legendary Chef Mario Carbone and partners Rich Torrisi and Jeff Zalaznick of Major Food Group (Carbone, Sadelle’s, ZZ’s Clam Bar) curated a tasty menu alluding to old school dishes such as fried scallops in tartar sauce, roast prime rib with baked potato, a chef’s buffet and lots and lots of oysters — all to be washed down with a martini or two. This is date night at its finest.
In true MFG fashion, The Grill has an opulent, theatrical ambiance complete with gorgeous Viennese dessert carts, florals galore, champagne on tap, tableside cooking action, and ultra glamorous bathrooms (for the ultimate #bathroomselfie).
For now, it’s dinner-only at this special occasion spot, but the ultimate power lunch destination is coming soon.
