Fall is in full swing, meaning pumpkin picking season is here. There’s no need to travel far, here is a list of our favorite spots near New York City to find the best pumpkins this autumn.
Harvest Moon Farm + Orchard

Only 1 hour and 17 minutes from NYC, Harvest Moon Farm + Orchard holds a weekly Fall Festival every weekend throughout the season. After selecting the finest pumpkins and apples from the farm, enjoy family-fun activities ranging from live music, hayrides, apple cannons, and even take a visit to the farm’s resident animals.
Fink’s Country Farm

Fink’s is only 1 hour and 55 minutes from Manhattan and offers seasonal activities year-round. Pick pumpkins straight from the vine and enjoy festive activities including hay rides, a pumpkin slingshot, barnyard, and so much more. Activities will last through October 27th!
Wilken’s Fruit + Fir Farm

Celebrating its 103rd year of harvest, Wilken’s Fruit + Fir Farm is only an hour from NYC and has everything from pressed apple cider to freshly baked pies, apple cider doughnuts, and a corn maze. The pumpkin patch is open for business each year from September 28th to October 31st. Stop by the White Hill Vineyard tasting room to sample and purchase wine!
Stuart’s Fruit Farm

Stuart’s Fruit Farm offers no-frills apple picking daily and pumpkins that can be picked straight off the vine. Take a hayride around the orchard and visit the market to buy fresh apple cider doughnuts and homemade pies baked daily. Finish your day here with a picnic while taking in the beautiful fall foliage that surrounds the farm.
